I take the pill, and it serves its purpose - it keeps me from getting pregnant and from passing giant blood clots every month. But would I forego its use in favor of not pumping synthetic hormones into my body if I had a better alternative? Gladly. However, at my particular point in life with my particular body, the pill is an imperfect, but still okay, option.
