Perez Hilton Hawks Pro-Ana Shirt

Given Perez Hilton’s track record of offensiveness, perhaps we shouldn’t be surprised that he’s promoting pro-ana merchandise. Maybe a little more surprising: channeling Kate Moss.

Few things are more obnoxious than the eating-disorder-enabling slogan “Nothing Tastes As Good As Skinny Feels” — then again, most of those things probably appear on Perez’s site. One of his favorite pastimes, of course, is relentlessly mocking women — and he has directed some of his bile in Kate Moss’s direction in recent years, calling her “Cokate” and using his oh-so-witty strikethrough method to dub her a “beautiful model.” So it’s interesting that one of her mantras — she told Women’s Wear Daily last year that “You try and remember, but it never works” — has ended up on one of Perez’s shirts. Guess his love of body-snark trumps all.

Except, maybe, shame. In a strange move for someone who likes to draw cum on starlets’ faces, Perez has actually taken his initial post on the shirts down from his website. Has he seen the error of his ways? Did an advertiser get mad? Hard to say, but we wait with bated breath for a possible mea culpa. Now that would be interesting.
