When you read this, you’re gonna lose your mind up in here (up in here): diva of divas-slash-queen of the prefab sweet potato pie Patti LaBelle is set to host her own cooking series on the Cooking Channel. Following a few completely hilarious specials that aired last year, Patti LaBelle’s Place has been greenlit for a six-episode run that will begin Saturday, December 3 at 11 am.
The show will run in two back-to-back episode blocks each week, and its guests will include: Gayle King, 50 Cent, Kirk Franklin, Naturi Naughton, Estelle, J.R. Smith, Carla Hall, Joe Zee, Ta’Rhonda Jones, Kaitlin Doubleday, Lance Gross, Erica Campbell, and Jay Manuel.
This news comes on the heels of the premiere of VH1’s well-reviewed and similarly star-powered/off-kilter cooking show Martha & Snoop’s Potluck Dinner Party. As a culture, we’re spoiled. Spoiled, I tell you.
Never forget (and live in hope that she tops it):
