Pat Robertson: Porn and Doing 'Sex Things' Cause Demonic Possession

As a former Southern Baptist minister, 700 Club host and malicious Cabbage Patch Doll Pat Robertson has an understandable interest in Satan and a somewhat less understandable obsession with sex, especially the gay kind. The very best Pat Robertson musings are when he manages to combine his interest in other people’s sex lives with his interest in the devil.

Luckily for humanity, Pat manages to make that leap pretty frequently. Right Wing Watch notes that on today’s program, he told a woman her son’s “hatred and mental issues” might be brought on by demons, which in turn were brought on because she brought a Ouija board home one time.

“You can open the door to demons,” Robertson said. “There was one lady I heard about who was demon-possessed” because, as he puts it, “she had gone to an X-rated movie and done all these sex things.”

The porn/sex-things double whammy, Robertson explains, gave the demon “permission” to enter her body, just as the Ouija board may have enabled them to enter the questioner’s home.

Robertson did at least note briefly that the woman’s son might have neurological or psychological issue, “or he may need to be delivered.”

Not to self-diagnose via the Internet, but how… exactly might one know if she is possessed by sex demons? Is there a pee test?
