Parkland Teens Remind Rick Santorum That CPR Won’t Help Someone Who's Been Shot in the Head

CNN’s resident conservative menace, Rick Santorum, had some advice for the Parkland teens following their successful March for Our Lives rallies: Stop whining about guns and learn CPR!

Here was his good advice:

On Tuesday, David Hogg, one of the most outspoken student activists to emerge from the aftermath of the shooting at Marjory Stoneman Douglas High School, and his sister, Lauren, called bullshit.

In a CNN interview, Lauren described Santorum’s CPR comment as “completely absurd.”

“The fact that he’s saying CPR when my friends are dying on our floor and nothing’s being done about it is just horrible,” said Lauren, who lost four friends in the shooting. “I think he’s just using it as a distraction to get the attention away from guns.”

David added on to the dunk: “At the end of the day, if you take a bullet from an AR-15 to the head, no amount of CPR is going to save you because you’re dead.”

Doctors took to Twitter to slam Santorum as well, emphasizing that CPR isn’t really going to do much when you’re literally bleeding to death.

The March for Our Lives, not the March for More CPR Education, has been deemed the largest youth protest in the United States since the Vietnam War, drawing at least 1.2 million people nationwide.
