Oscar Mayer's Turkey Bacon Is Trying to Kill You

Today in things that are trying to kill you: 2 million pounds of Oscar Mayer turkey bacon are being recalled.

According to Time, the U.S. Department of Agriculture is recalling 2,068,467 pounds of turkey bacon that “may be adulterated because it may spoil before the ‘Best When Used By’ date.” Kraft Heinz, Oscar Mayer’s parent company, first realized something might be amiss when customers started complaining.

Here’s a list of affected products, packaged between May 31 and August 6:

Oscar Mayer “Selects Uncured Turkey Bacon” bearing the plant number P-9070, the line number RS19 and Product UPC 0 4470007633 0;
Oscar Mayer Turkey Bacon “Smoked Cured Turkey Chopped and Formed” bearing the plant number P-9070, the line number RS19 and Product UPC 0 7187154874 8;
Oscar Mayer Turkey Bacon “Smoked Cured Turkey Chopped and Formed” bearing the plant number P-9070, the line number RS19 and Product UPC 0 7187154879 3.

Though the recall is classified as a “low health risk,” if you have any of these products, you should probably toss them.
