OMG Everyone Please Stop Worrying, J-Lo Hasn't Changed, OK?

Latest

Jennifer Lopez just released a teaser video for “Same Girl,” a lively musical number in the same tradition as “I Am the Very Model of a Modern Major-General,” and as you would expect, we’re excited about it!

Basically, Jenny From The Block’s message here is she is the same girl she’s always been— a mega-millionaire with a dictator-like grip on her public persona a simple girl from the Bronx.

First of all, I have to say she looks AMAZING. Seriously. That lipstick. Her skin. Her hair. FLAWLESS. She’s one of the most beautiful women in the world, for real.

Now, about the song and video.

The visual was directed by Gomillion & Leupold and shows Lopez
waiting for a ride on the subway, dancing in the rain underneath a
subway platform and mugging in front of Bronx graffiti. And just to
really make sure we see how authentic she is, she sings, “‘Cause I’m on
the same grind, no I never changed, I’m loving everyday, I know that I’m
the same Jenny from around the way now.” Message received.

Uh-huh. Interesting! Tell me more!

JLo’s latest paean to her roots is the Chris Brown-penned “Same Girl,” and perhaps timed with her American Idol return this week, the star has released a teaser clip from the music video.

OH. It was written by Chris Brown. Well. OK then. [INSERT MAELSTROM OF EMOTIONS/THOUGHTS/FEELINGS ABOUT CHRIS BROWN HERE; AWAIT BARRAGE OF IRATE INTERNET COMMENTS]

That was fun! American Idol returns Jan. 15, with Lopez back in the judge’s chair.
