Oh Cool, the Duggars Are Returning to TLC

Latest

In July, TLC canceled their long-running ode to birth control 19 Kids and Counting after the molestation scandal involving Josh Duggar. But he’s on the road to rehabilitation and good ratings are good ratings, so TLC has decided to throw a few of the Duggars back on screen an “at least two specials” that will air later this year.

People reports the specials will follow Jessa Seewald (née Duggar) as she “[prepares] for her first child” and Jill Dillard (née Duggar) as she makes “a major move to Central America with her family.” TLC’s executive vice president Nancy Danielas says she knows those topics are “something [their] audience will be interested in.” A source told the AP that Josh Duggar will unsurprisingly not be in the shows, just as he was not in the last special on TLC about the Duggars, which involved his sisters discussing sexual abuse.

In an Instagram post, Dillard wrote:

“We are looking forward to reconnecting with everyone with the new specials on TLC – many have asked about our mission work and about the challenges of taking our family to a different country, culture and learning a new language.”

With any luck, people will soon quit asking them about anything.
