OG Trendhumper Jeremy Scott Honored With Lavish New Documentary

Your younger brother’s third-favorite designer Jeremy Scott is finally receiving a documentary about his life and debut line for Moschino, and it’s filled with his celebrity followers—Katy Perry, Miley Cyrus, A$AP Rocky, Rita Ora, 2NE1’s CL—effusing on the type of genius that dreams up putting two-foot wings on Adidas high-top sneakers.

In the following trailer, amid seemingly arbitrary shots of 5 Pointz (RIP) Scott explains that he wants his clothes “to live, to party, to have fun, to just create a moment,” and that he “never want(s) to be seen as a facsimile of someone else.”*

I feel for his youth in a rural hellscape—lord knows I lived that too, and anyone who grew up a little bit weird in small-town America can relate to the feeling of being an outcast described here by his family. But man, do his clothes still blow.

Regardless, according to Fashionista this is being released by the same producer behind Valentino: The Last Emperor, which was an incredible documentary–one of the best of the 2000s—and no matter your feelings on Scott’s clothes, it promises to be an interesting look into what’s going on behind the scenes, and in his design brain. It’s out September 18.

You’ve made your opinions very clear throughout your various articles… although i can’t help but need to point out the footage in the documentary of Jeremy Scott collection is in fact from madballs collaboration—that was sold very successfully and not part of any plagism story that you seem so eager to keep bringing up 2 years later.
