Of Course Bill Clinton Watches Scandal

Well into its second season, Shonda Rhimes’ juicy, sexy, highly-addictive Washington ABC thriller/drama Scandal is a bona fide hit. The show’s star, Kerry Washington — and her costar, Tony Goldwyn — are on the new cover of Entertainment Weekly, and the mag reminds us that Scandal is not just a TV show but a live-tweet phenomenon, with over 200,000 tweets per episode happening every Thursday night between 10pm and 11pm as the cast and viewers tweet along.

Some of these fans include Oprah Winfrey, Lena Dunham, and Mary J. Blige. “Bill Clinton was another person where I was like, ‘What?! You watch Scandal?!'” Washington says. “I feel like it happens at least once a week – that I am totally floored by somebody who watches the show.”

Of course Bill Clinton watches a show in which the President has sex with his mistress in the oval office. Love it.
