Obie, a standard dachshund, weighed 77 pounds just over a year ago. His owners were elderly and just couldn’t take care of him in the way he needed. Couple that with overfeeding out of love and the result was a wiener dog who could barely walk. Luckily, a relative stepped in and gave him to Portland, Or., rescuer Nora Vanatta who soon exercised him to health.
