Your wokest aunt Saran Sarandon, who once suggested Donald Trump might make a better president than Hillary Clinton because of the subsequent revolution, has endorsed Green Party candidate Jill Stein. Jill Stein, in turn, endorses continued remembrance of Harambe and vaccine skepticism.
Sarandon issued a formal endorsement on Stein’s website that also functions as a laundry list of things she doesn’t love about Clinton: support for fracking, military aid to Israel, inability to charm local wildlife, maybe. She adds:
I’m therefore very happy to endorse Jill Stein for the presidency because she does stand for everything I believe in.
It’s clear a third party is necessary and viable at this time. And this is the first step in accomplishing this end.
Fear of Donald Trump is not enough for me to support Clinton, with her record of corruption.
Now that Trump is self-destructing, I feel even those in swing states have the opportunity to vote their conscience.
A curious thing for me personally is how I can theoretically agree with a lot of what Sarandon is saying while somehow also vehemently disagreeing with her to the point of audibly and repeatedly muttering “Come the fuck on, Susan” at my computer screen and staging imaginary arguments with her in my bathroom mirror. This election does curious things to us all.
