No One Knows Joy Like This Man Yelling Underwater About Sea Lions

The BBC’s Steve Backshall infiltrated a pod of sea lions in Monterey Bay for Big Blue Live, introducing viewers to the “TRULY UN-BELIEVABLE SPECTACLE” of this marine mammal habitat and the equally wonderful spectacle of a British naturalist reaching nirvana underwater.

“SURROUNDED! BY CALIFORNIA SEA LIONS,” our friend yells gleefully, his chakras literally never so aligned. “THEY’RE SLEEK, LIKE A TORPEDO THROUGH THE WATER!”

“LOOK AT THAT, THERE ARE DOZENS OF THEM! WOW, THE LONG WHISKERS TRAIL OUT INTO THE WATER, THEY’RE TACTILE, SENSORY, THEY CAN EVEN SENSE THE WEIGHT OF A FISH AFTER IT’S SWUM PAST,” Backshall screams through his scuba mask, completely overcome by his proximity to “THESE ABSOLUTE MASTERS OF THE BLUE.”
