New DWTS Cast Includes Wynonna Judd, Aly Raisman, Lisa Vanderpump

This is the sixteenth season of Dancing With The Stars, and the new contestants are, as usual, from very different backgrounds — comedy, sports, music, acting and politics.

We know Aly Raisman, captain of the gold medal-winning US Women’s Gymnastics team has strength — but can she cha cha? We know Wynonna Judd can sing — but can she samba? And what about Lisa Vanderpump???

Not dancing this season: Maksim Chmerkovsky, Anna Trebunskaya, Chelsie Hightower and Louis Van Amstel. ABC claims: “We frequently rotate the professional dancers, so it is not unusual for them to rest a cycle,” but rumor has it Maks might be done for good.

The real question is: Would you rather see stars dance or dive? Because ABC has a new reality show Splash — aka Celebrity Diving. (A warning: Most of the “stars” are even more D-list. But if you want to see Kareem Abdul-Jabbar jump into a pool, no judgments.)
