Here’s something fun: Dolly Parton, Jane Fonda and Lily Tomlin, reuniting on the Emmy’s stage, together again, 37 years after 9 to 5.
Most Emmy presenter bits feel stilted and boring, but when you have three icons and legends with charisma, uniqueness, nerve and talent, maybe you just let ‘em riff for a minute or so. There was a nice Trump joke that landed to raucous applause at the top, then a solid 45 seconds of Dolly Parton making jokes about her bazookas, which she followed with this: “I’m just hopin’ that I’m gonna get one of those Frankie and Grace vibrators in my swag bag tonight.”
