Nancy Pelosi Is Still A Badass

Latest

“I have deep emotions about the American people,” said Nancy Pelosi. “If I were to cry for anything, I would cry for them and the policies that they’re about to face.” Burn, Boehner, burn.

Diane Sawyer couldn’t get Pelosi to emote after the midterm elections. Times magazine interviewer Deborah Solomon loves to stir shit up. But if there’s anyone that coolly withstand her line of questioning, it’s Pelosi, who. reiterated that she doesn’t cry or pray over politics — it’s just business.

My mother always said: “We do not pray to win elections. We pray for people’s health, we pray that God’s will be done, we pray that we do our best. But we do not pray to win elections.”
Are you saying you have never prayed for an electoral victory?
Never. I only pray that I do my very best.

This is further proof that Pelosi is a God-hating liberal, because everyone knows that God decides elections.

Pelosi also did not duck questions about gender. After it was pointed out John Boehner was on the cover of every major newsweekly, something that never happened with Pelosi despite celebrations of her historic position, she said, “When a man holds the job, the press seems to view it as more worthy of that kind of attention. But when a woman – even though it was historic – holds the job, they view it as less important. We have to dispel the notion that it’s not as big a job when a woman has it.” Or maybe newsmagazines are just too scared to put a liberal on the cover and be accused of being left-wing sympathizers.

Meanwhile, on Saturday Night Live‘s opener this weekend, Kristen Wiig played Pelosi alongside Keenan Thompson’s Rangel, Abby Elliott’s Rachel Maddow, and Bill Hader’s John Boehner.
