Miss Piggy Will Be Getting Married in Vivienne Westwood, Of Course

After years of very publicly attempting to drag Kermit the Frog down the aisle, it looks like Miss Piggy will finally get her heart’s desire in Muppets Most Wanted. There’ll be a wedding at the Tower of London, where she’ll wear a gown specially designed by Vivienne Westwood.

What, you thought that diva was going to buy off the rack?

The Telegraph reports:

The Long Ivory Court wedding gown, with corset detailing and paillettes made from recycled plastic bottles, and accessorised with an ivory tulle veil is every bit as extravagant as the ‘divine diva’.

“Vivienne Westwood is fabulous – just like moi,” said Miss Piggy. “When I asked her to design this wedding dress for moi’s new movie, Muppets Most Wanted, she was thrilled and I was thrilled. The only one a bit ‘iffy’ about it was the Frog.”

This is not the pair’s first time at the altar, of course; they’ve actually stepped up to the altar together at least three times, including the spectacularly 80s Muppets Take Manhattan:

But apparently none of those count, because Piggy and Kermit were just acting, so she’s still chasing him. Maybe this time it’ll stick, though you probably wouldn’t want to hold your breath given the mistaken identity plot teased by the trailer. At least Miss Piggy isn’t going to let Vivienne Westwood put a bird on her damn head, unlike SOME famously strung-along ladies:
