Michele Bachmann Kicks Off Campaign By Comparing Herself To A Serial Killer

Michele Bachmann has proven once again that she can make herself look foolish without any help from Chris Wallace. Bachmann returned to her hometown of Waterloo, Iowa today to announce her candidacy for president. In an interview with Fox News, she shared a bit of local history, saying:

“Well what I want them to know is just like John Wayne was from Waterloo, Iowa. That’s the kind of spirit that I have, too.”

Funny story: John Wayne Gacy, the serial killer who dressed as a clown and killed dozens of men and boys, once lived in Waterloo. The Duke was from Winterset, Iowa, which is a three hour drive from Waterloo.
