This Christmas is Meghan Markle’s first as an official royal, and so it was important—nay, imperative—that she nail her royal curtsy to the Queen. Last year’s performance was straight trash, but thankfully this year she has improved. SEE IT:
On second thought, that doesn’t…really…prove much, but according to People, Meghan, who has been working on her curtsy for some time, did it right:
Meghan, who debuted a less-than-perfect curtsy last year, confidently bowed her head, clasped her hands and lowered into the proper position as she curtsied to the Queen outside the Church of St. Mary Magdalene on Tuesday.
Last year, Meghan had protocol pro Kate Middleton by her side to show her the ropes as she gave a demure smile and did a slight curtsy. On Tuesday morning, Meghan displayed a deep curtsy and bowed her head as she showed the time-honored sign of respect to the monarch.
On Tuesday, Meghan joined the rest of the Young Royals—Kate, William, and Harry—at Sandringham in Norfolk, where the entire Royal family celebrated Christmas this year, despite VICIOUS rumors that Kate and Will might celebrate with the Middletons instead.
There was minimal drama between Kate and Meghan, per reports: “They really loved Christmas and all had a wonderful time,” a source told People. “I think the two women got on — they are definitely not best friends, but it was a really special time for them all to spend together.”
