According to the autopsy completed a couple days after Mark Salling’s death the former Glee star died of asphyxiation by hanging. Salling’s death has been ruled a suicide.
On Tuesday, TMZ reported that Salling’s body was found hanging by a riverbed in Sunland (the LA neighborhood where he lived).
In December, the 35-year-old pled guilty to possession of child pornography and entered a plea deal. He was scheduled to be sentenced in March.
The Los Angeles Count Coroner’s office told Page Six, “He is ready [to be picked up]. The case is closed.”
