Make College Awesome by Taking a 'Study Harry Potter Abroad' Course

Are you tired of the same old boring college classes that try to teach you useless shit like “History” and “Underwater Basket Weaving?” Don’t you wish you could just jump into a good book and live in a fantasy world of magic and improbable plot lines forever? Then, boy, does California State San Marcos have all the answers to your prayers!

Through CSU San Marcos’ Travel Abroad (aka No Muggles Allowed) program, you can travel to fancy ole’ Great Britain to study the “magical world of Harry Potter!” The whole thing is worth three credits, too. So blow off that shitty Applied Physics class and try this out:

Explore and experience through travel the cultural and historical locations in England and Scotland that inspired the Harry Potter series
Identify and assess the similarities and differences between the novels and films and the ways in which each drew inspiration from cultural sites in Great Britain
Develop critical thinking skills about complex social issues relating to inequality, race, and gender within the context of contemporary Great Britain.

Sounds like an awesome way to blow $5K and earn three college credits. Plus, you get to visit lots of authentic British historical sites like the Warner Bros. lot where they filmed the Harry Potter movies. This is an opportunity to truly expand your mind. Fill out those student loan papers now and maximize the weird Harry Potter obsession you should have outgrown in the third grade while you still can.
