Lorelai From Gilmore Girls and Ellen From Ellen Make A Show

Lauren Graham and Ellen Degeneres are teaming up to produce a show for CW together. Oy with the poodles already! (Sorry for the horrible and not at all topical Gilmore Girls reference right there.)

The pair are friends in real life; Graham has been on the Ellen show numerous times, and Degeneres always appears to love having her on. One of their favorite running gags involves Ellen trying to make sure Graham ends up married to Matthew Perry (Graham once dated Perry and they are still friends). They’ll be adapting Someday, Someday, Maybe, Graham’s novel that was released earlier this year “about a struggling young actress trying to get ahead―and keep it together―in New York City.” It’s based off her real-life experience of setting a three-year deadline for herself to become an actress. She’ll be writing the pilot and she’s also writing a sequel to the book.
