I considered writing this blog in the form of a “Look What You Made Me Do” parody by rewriting the lyrics to tell the story of Taylor Swift’s recently revealed partnership with UPS, but two things stopped me: 1) Taylor Swift’s recently revealed partnership with UPS—with its Reputation-branded delivery trucks and decidedly non-snakelike video of Swift wrapping gifts in beautiful white boxes—is absurd enough on its own, and 2) I’m not convinced anyone has been able to listen to “Look What You Made Me Do” enough to remember what the verses sound like.
