Leonardo DiCaprio on His Reaction to Lady Gaga: 'I Just Didn't Know What Was Passing Me'

Don’t worry, one of the greatest mysteries of Sunday night’s Golden Globe Awards has (partly) been solved.

On her way to pick up her Golden Globe for best actress in a limited series or TV movie, Lady Gaga (purposefully?) bumped Leonardo DiCaprio while making her way to the stage. Perhaps Gaga just wanted Leo to move his goddamn arm? Leo–who was laughing at the time—made an “ack” face in response, which begged yet another question: Why?

Thank God Leo clarified this viral catastrophe in an interview with Entertainment Tonight. In the clip above, the host informs him, “Your reaction to Lady Gaga is trending.” A jovial Leo merely smiles and says, “Oh Lord. That’s trending, huh?”

Leo further explains: “I just didn’t know what was passing me, that’s all. I was like, oh!” But no explanation for why he was laughing. Tell us what was funny!

“I just didn’t know what was passing me.”

It could’ve been the bear. It could’ve been anything. But it was, in fact, Lady Gaga.
