Lady Sues Because Drive Trailer Was Too Damn Good

Latest

Sarah Deming of Michigan is suing FilmDistrict, the distributor of Drive, because she’s unsatisfied with the amount of driving in the film. She states that the company, “promoted the film Drive as very similar to the Fast and Furious, or similar, series of movies,” yet, “Drive bore very little similarity to a chase, or race action film… having very little driving in the motion picture.” She also claims the film is anti-Semitic.

Deming wants to have her movie ticket refunded and is demanding that Hollywood stop releasing “misleading movie trailers,” so if she’s successful, expect the trailer for Fast and Furious 9 to consists of the words “crappy car chase movie” flashing on the screen. Deming is also interested in turning this into a class action lawsuit, but she can keep us out of it. The Drive trailer conveyed that Ryan Gosling and Christina Hendricks are in the movie, and that’s pretty much all we needed to know.
