The network that brings you Project Runway, and Project Runway All Stars, will soon be airing a beauty competition executive produced by Kim Kardashian and hosted by Orange Is the New Black’s Laverne Cox, who will also serve as a judge.
According to The Hollywood Reporter, Lifetime’s Glam Masters will be an eight-episode beauty blogger gauntlet, putting these so-called “beauty influencers” through a series of themed challenges, which I assume will mostly be germane to applying makeup to a face (a serious task—I love looking at pictures of extravagant cosmetic applications, but can’t myself draw within lines, winged eye-liner is achingly beyond my grasp).
Kardashian said of the series when it was first announced in May, “I’m such a beauty junkie and am fascinated by how artists are able to transform someone’s look with makeup and couldn’t be more ecstatic for them to show what they can really do.”
The other judges will be Kardashian’s makeup artist Mario Dedivanovic, Marie Claire senior fashion editor Zanna Roberts, and YouTube makeup expert Kandee Johnson. Glam Masters premiers on February 28.
Here’s the teaser, very pretty and polished. Does the TV recap slideshow exist?
