Keeping Up With the Kontinuity Errors: What Exactly Was Going On with Khloe and Lamar?

Whoa! Sunday night’s episode of Keeping Up With the Kardashians was the first glimpse into real family #drama we’ve seen from this crew in months (hey, Caitlyn, honey!). The A-Plot was Khloe’s relationship with Lamar Odom; the B-Plot was Kris’ relationship with Lamar Odom; and the C-Plot was Kylie Jenner’s 18th birthday party in Canada. Scene 2: Filmed on July 15, 2015

Mother to Northern Star and Sanctuary West, Kim Kardashian West, visits her youngest Kardashian sister, Khloe Kardashian, in her Calabasas home. Khloe waits for her sister to wrap up her vigorous and furious salad shaking before they commence in conversation. Kim, done with the daunting task of evenly coating her greens in flavor, laughs with Khloe about the haters who thinks she’s faking her pregnancy because she is so skinny. Kim enjoys the idea that she’s much smaller this pregnancy, but feels like Buddy Love turning into Professor Klump in the Nutty Professor, as she’s noticing her body expanding more each day. Kim then goes into a comedic bit where she commands various parts of her body to get larger, with an accompanying “bloop.” Done talking about her growing body, Kim asks Khloe about her and Lamar. Khloe explains to Kim that she’s decided to fully remove herself from the situation of Lamar’s life. She does try to explain to Kim that she just can’t cut ties with someone she loves and was married to, but Kim doesn’t seem to grasp the concept. Khloe continues by saying that she cares for him, but has to take a stand when his toxicity seeps into her current life. So, in essence, she’s finally done.

Scene 7: Filmed on September 10, 2015

Kris Jenner visits the closet of her youngest child and makeup tutor to the children, Kylie Jenner. Kylie is now 18, and Kris is concerned about her first solo club appearance in Canada. In her confessional, Kris claims that Kylie is “not a big drinker,” but she is still worried about her going to a city where she’s legally able to drink all by herself. Kris knows that she can’t come down too hard because Kylie is 18 and an adult, but she tells her to “mind her Ps and Qs.” Kris also reminds her that the drinking age in Montreal is 18, to which Kylie tells her mom, “well, I wasn’t planning on drinking, so.” Welcome to adulthood, Kylie. You never plan on drinking, but “never,” turns into one drink, which turns into two, which turns into four, which turns into seven, which turns into you not turning your bedroom light on until 9 pm the next day, but you do you, Kylie, you.do.you. Kris’ parenting was filmed on September 10, 2015. This means that both Kris and Kylie were drinking because Kylie’s party in Montreal was nearly a month earlier on 8/16/15. How about you mind your Ps and Qs, Ms. Kris Jenner.

Scene 9: Filmed on August 6, 2015

Khloe and Kendall are in Mexico City with Corey Gamble. The girls get glam before their trip to the Black Jaguar-White Tiger Foundation, a rescue association for big cats, for some animal love. Khloe, however, is feeling super sick, and Kendall thinks it may be because of her stress. They arrive at the foundation, and Khloe immediately feels better. First up, they visit baby lions. Now, I, along with my entire staff at KUWTKE will go on every record and state that we hate cats, BUT if these little lions aren’t the cutest thing we’ve ever seen, then slap me on the neck and call me Nala, honey! The group walks around to visit bigger cats, and Khloe faces her fears and gets inside a cage with various lions, tigers, and leopards, who don’t take kindly to the company. Everyone is terrified, but surprise! Khloe survives. Khloe, Kendall, and Corey’s day trip to Mexico City was filmed on August 6, 2015.

Scene 11: Filmed on August 16, 2015

Noted Adult, Kylie Jenner touches down in Montreal, Canada for her 18th Birthday bash. The dirty beach where her daytime soiree is located is overrun with murky water and Canadian youth. After doing some interviews, Kylie throws t-shirts at the crowd, receives a “happy birthday” serenade and watches the other promoters throw cake at the crowd. Sounds…horrible? Kylie herself did seem to have a good time, so that’s all that matters, right? Kylie’s party was filmed on August 16, 2015.

Scene 12: Filmed on August 10, 2015

Kim and Khloe visit Kourtney Kardashian at her Calabasas home. Kourtney asks if any of her guests would like to go to Bible Study that night, and Kim responds with a “what? I don’t know.” Khloe can’t answer because she’s dealing with a phone call from Lamar, who somehow got her phone number, even though she changed it so he couldn’t contact her. Khloe begins to realize that Lamar and her mom are in “cahoots,” and gets more pissed when Kim mentions Kris’ continuous texts to Lamar. So, Khloe calls her mom and goes in. Kim is also riled up because she too thinks that Kris should not involve herself in her kids’ drama. Kim thinks that Kris should “feel like a piece of shit, because this is all her fault.” There’s obviously other drama that has gone unsaid, because just a couple of days after this was filmed on August 10, 2015, Khloe had an unfortunate run-in with Lamar outside of a SoulCycle.

Scene 13: Filmed on August 10, 2015

Kim Kardashian makes her way through those Calabasas streets to Kris Jenner’s house. Kim is on the phone with Khloe, who is still wondering how Lamar got in touch with her. Kris thinks that Kim should help Khloe “let it go” and not make such a big deal out of it. Kim calls her mom “insane.” Kris maintains her position, but now she thinks her actions are being unfairly judged because Khloe hasn’t given her all the information she needs to fully let go of Lamar or understand their divorce. This gets Kim even more incensed. She tells her mom that she doesn’t have all the information either, but she respects Khloe’s wishes. Khloe, who is still on the line, calls Kris a “crazy fucker,” and tells her mom that they need “a major break from each other.” This tense conversation was, like Scene 12, filmed on August 10, 2015.
