In the newest issue of Seventeen Ke$ha admits that she, in addition to being the world's most outspoken haver of ghost sex, is also one of those crazy bisexuals you keep reading about. Sooooooo nuts, right? And, of course, by "nuts," what I really mean is "oh, cool — good for her, but now I'm gonna go back to doing whatever it was I doing before which definitely has nothing to do with writing Severus Snape/Minerva McGonagall fan fiction."

Ke$ha tells the magazine:

"I don't love just men. I love people. It's not about a gender. It's just about the spirit that exudes from that other person you're with."

Cool? Cool.

She also had this to say about body image and the music industry:

"I remember every person who told me I couldn't do something or that I was ugly or too fat. I have a 'sh-t list' — people from my past who have been soulless and judgmental. Even after I got through my awkward phase, got my braces off, and figured out how to dress my body, people in the music business were like, 'You're never going to make it. I see them now and I'm like, 'Ha!' That's one of the reasons I named my record Warrior. You can be a victim and let that eat your soul, or you can say, 'You're going on my list and I'm going to prove you wrong!"

Do your thing girl — I'm gonna go take a nap.

Okay, discussion time.

Why is it that we can accept that men can be exclusively attracted to men and that women can be exclusively attracted to women, but refuse to accept that people of either gender can be attracted to both men and women, and sleep with both men and women?

Why is it that every time I(*) express an attraction for women, people on either side of the sexual orientation fence are so quick to tell me that I'm just deluding myself? Straight people tell me I'm gay, gay people tell me I'm a straight girl looking for attention.

Why is it so hard for supposedly "progressive" people to understand that sexual orientation, much like gender, isn't binary?

(*)This article is about Ke$ha, and I'm obviously not Ke$ha, but I can relate to everyone jumping on the poor girl for admitting that she likes women too.
