You can stop sitting up at night worrying about who will take Oprah‘s spot. Katie Couric has inked a deal with ABC to host a syndicated daytime talk show. She’ll serve as host and producer and also contribute to various ABC news programs. She’s expected to take the 3 p.m. time slot that Oprah held for 25 years in many parts of the country. [TMZ]
Couric said, “I’m very happy to be returning to the network where I began my career as a desk assistant in 1979. It is tremendously exciting to have the creative freedom to develop my own show … and to contribute to such a vibrant, innovative news division. I can’t wait to be part of this incredibly talented, visionary team.” [ABC News]
Jennifer Lopez has temporarily blocked the release of the sex tape she made with her ex, Ojani Noa. She was granted a restraining order against Noa’s girlfriend, who is trying to sell the tape. [TMZ]
