Fressange was the face of Chanel throughout the 1980s, and Lagerfeld completely and utterly broke ties with her for mysterious reasons in 1989. (He once said, “I wish her all the luck in the world, just so long as I don’t have to see her any more or hear her spoken about.”) Fressange, who still works in fashion as a brand ambassador for Roger Vivier and walked in a Jean-Paul Gaultier show, will appear in tomorrow’s Chanel show and in the brand’s next campaign. “She is beyond stunning,” says the Kaiser, as if by way of explanation.
