Kate Middleton Wants Everyone to Help Support Children's Mental Health

Latest

It’s the United Kingdom’s first Children’s Mental Health Week, and so Kate Middleton sat down and recorded this video encouraging adults to seek help on behalf of kids in their lives and specifically touting the offerings of Place2Be, a charity she and Will support. Is it just me, or is it weird seeing Kate Middleton talk?

This video comes via US Weekly. “Both William and I have seen that many young people are struggling to cope with the impact of bullying, bereavement, domestic violence, family breakdown and more,” Kate says. “Without support, the effects of these challenges can be traumatic, leading to serious issues such as anxiety, depression, addiction, and self harm.”

She adds, “Together, with open conversations and greater understanding, we can ensure that attitudes toward mental health change, and children receive the support they deserve.”

A worthy cause! But I had to watch the video twice because I was so distracted by how rarely Kate Middleton talks. She is so famous and I’ve seen so many pictures and yet I’m not sure I could have described her voice before today.

Anyway let’s not lose sight of what’s really important, which is that “Kate looked radiant in the short film in a blue tile-print silk shirt dress,” coos the Express. It can be yours for a mere £250.
