Kanye West Abruptly Halts New York Show After Kim Kardashian Is Reportedly Held Up at Gunpoint

Kanye West was midway through performing “Heartless” during his headlining set at Meadows Festival in Queens Sunday evening, when someone pulled him to the side of the stage. “I’m sorry, there’s a family emergency,” he said, sounding harried. “I have to stop the show.” Genius has video:

Kim Kardashian West, as well as her sisters Kourtney Kardashian and Kendall Jenner, is currently in Paris, and sent a Snapchat celebrating Rob Kardashian and Blac Chyna’s baby shower.

West was scheduled to perform until 10 p.m., according to Billboard, but made his announcement and stopped performing around 9:40 p.m. Soon after, reports surfaced that Kim had been held up in Paris at gunpoint.

Kim’s rep released a statement to People, saying, “She is badly shaken but physically unharmed.”

Kim had spent the evening of October 2 with her sister Kourtney and mother Kris Jenner at the Givenchy runway show at Paris Fashion Week, in which Kendall Jenner walked.
