Kaley Cuoco Had a Fucking Amazing Prenup

Kaley Cuoco, the Big Bang Theory star whose success I find baffling and hilarious and wonderful in equal measure, filed for divorce from her first husband, sort-of tennis player Ryan Sweeting, in 2015. Their marriage lasted just under two years and—if the tabloids are to be believed—may have ended due to Sweeting’s refusal to get treatment for his addiction to painkillers.

But even though they were married just three months after meeting, Cuoco worked in the time to have her lawyers draft a prenup, and TMZ reports that it was ironclad. A few months after their wedding, Cuoco “signed a staggering $72 million contract [for 72 episodes of Big Bang],” and Sweeting isn’t getting any of it.

TMZ continues:

Ryan did … not so well. He walks away with a lump sum parting gift of $165,000. She’s also agreed to pay the $195,000 bill for his 2 personal trainers.

Oh, he also “gets to keep whatever cash and gift certificates in his possession.” Meanwhile, Kaley and her new boyfriend are probably on horseback somewhere, gracefully jumping over stacks of cash.
