Meghan âAll About That Bassâ Trainor is contributing a song to the upcoming Peanuts movie. It is, according to People magazine, âall about letting go of your insecurities and embracing your true self on the dance floor.â
âThey wanted a song about confidence and knew I was good at writing those. I feel better when Iâm onstage dancing and having fun, so I wrote about that!â Trainor informed People in a brief Q&A. Asked whether she was a fan growing up, she replied: âMy grandma always had it on; she always had a lot of cartoons on. I was super-duper young, but I do remember when the show was on â it was huge!â Sheâd want to be Charlie Brownâs friend, âbecause I felt so bad for him in some parts. Iâm probably the person that would go make sure heâs all right. We would be best friends.â Itâs unclear whether sheâll actually appear in the movie, but the filmâs animators did give her the full Peanuts treatment.
Feeling very confident that the new movie will capture the undercurrent of Midwestern existential angst flowing through Peanuts.
