Superstar Jennifer Lopez
got a little emotional during a concert last night at the Mohegan Sun casino. It all started when she sang "If You Had My Love." During the number, she—perhaps unwisely—had dancers on stage dressed to look like her and her former flames, including P. Diddy, Ben Affleck, and Marc Anthony. After the song was over, she told the audience it was, "The first song I ever wrote about love." Then she got emotional and said somewhat cryptically, "What is love? As the last song I wrote about love…a lot has changed since then." And then she started sobbing and eventually ran off stage to pull herself together. According to one person who was there, "She only sang a few more songs and she was obviously out of it. Everyone was so sad for her. It was really dramatic."
Oh, Jenny, why would you do that to yourself? Maybe you should have sung something that was a little less upsetting? More importantly, where was Bradley Cooper when you needed him? Let us hope he was backstage to wrap you in his muscular arms and immediately start saying comforting things to you in French. [Radar]
- Ryan Reynolds turned 35 this weekend, and guess who he spent his big day with? Blake Lively! Why would he do such a thing? Because they are getting serious and maybe are totally in love or whatever. She even spent the night at his apartment, so they are almost definitely going to get married—unless he decides he loves Sandra Bullock instead or she runs back to Leo or something. - Speaking of love, Justin Bieber rented out an entire movie theater just so he and his girlfriend Selena Gomez could watch Real Steel in peace or do whatever it is teenagers do at the movies these days. - Oprah made a surprise visit to a transcendental meditation school in Iowa where she meditated with more than 400 women and spoke to them about her "spiritual journey." Obviously she had a film crew with her—you didn't really think she was doing it just for pure enlightenment, did you? [Yahoo!]
- After getting married in England earlier this month, Paul McCartney and Nancy Shevell celebrated their wedding in New York City this weekend. Yoko Ono made a surprise appearance (kind of an odd occasion to surprise someone, but why not!), and not surprisingly lots of other famous people showed up too, including Sean Lennon, Keith Richards, and Jon Bon Jovi. - Coldplay performed at Apple's in-house memorial service for Steve Jobs this past week. This must be the kind of payoff that comes from naming your daughter Apple! [Daily Express]
- Speaking of Apple, it has now been revealed that when Bill Clinton cheated with Monica Lewinsky back in the heady days of 1998, he turned to Steve Jobs for advice on how to handle the scandal.
