Jenna Bush Hager Apparently Has All the Travis Kelce Taylor Swift Gossip

Being a man of means, Travis Kelce buying a new mansion is not innately newsworthy. But alas, earlier this week the Today show’s Jenna Bush Hager planted the rumor that Kelce and Taylor Swift—who have reportedly been dating for about a month—are already house-hunting together. Per Hager, “a friend from Kansas City texted me there might be news” that Swift and Kelce are “buying a house.”

And now, per Page Six, Kelce has reportedly bought a new $6 million Kansas City mansion “for more privacy surrounding his newfound romance with” Swift. Kelce apparently closed the deal on Tuesday in a gated community. The purchase comes at a time when we are all being kept abreast of his every move, which might explain the choice to live in a gated community. Still, this inevitably raises questions about what Kelce’s new home truly is: a bachelor pad??? Or a love nest…? It seems Hager, who’s also called Swift and Kelce America’s “royal couple,” alone may hold the keys to the truth. Other sources have flat-out denied the veracity of Hager’s intel. But frankly, Hager seems so obsessed with this ship, that I am inclined to believe she knows what she’s talking about!

Swift has long been chased by rumors that she buys houses or property near her boyfriends, from Conor Kennedy to Harry Styles, and allegedly again with Calvin Harris. In 2013, she told Vanity Fair, “People say that about me, that I apparently buy houses near every boy I like—that’s a thing that I apparently do. If I like you, I will apparently buy up the real estate market just to freak you out so you leave me.” Sure, she was seemingly denying this rumor, but I would very much respect her if it were real.

No word yet on Swift’s role, if any, in Kelce’s new digs, but I am invested in learning the truth, and might even be compelled to watch the Today show should Hager ever again bring up her “friend” who apparently has all the Tay-vis leaks. In either case, I wish Kelce (and Swift, perhaps????) happiness and privacy at his (their??) new place; Lord knows that with what media coverage of his relationship with Swift has looked like lately—incessant photographs of their overnight dates, fanfiction-like recounts of their PDA at parties, speculation about whether her makeup rubbed off on his face—he very much needs it.
