Jane Austen's Face Is Coming to British Money

She joins Florence Nightingale and Elizabeth Fry as the third non-royal to appear on British currency. She's replacing Charles Darwin on the £10 note, and she'll make her debut in 2017.

According to The Mary Sue:

This comes after protests that with the replacement of Elizabeth Fry with Winston Churchill, the only woman depicted on British banknotes would be the Queen. The bill also includes a quote from Pride and Prejudice, but I can imagine that it was difficult to resist making it “money is the best recipe for happiness.”

Further more, video is so damn British. Love it.

I would love it if we started putting scientists and authors on American money. Our money is so boring!
