There's a lot of fear being instilled by companies, sentiments like, "You should be lucky you still have a job, therefore, take on this extra workload since we just axed some of your coworkers and no, there won't be any raises or bonuses." Yeah, I get that I'm lucky to still be here but it sucks to have to feel this way. I'm tired of feeling scared/anxious about job security (just like everyone else) but it doesn't make it OK for companies to take advantage of employees. Nothing I can really do about it I guess.
