Yesterday, a tweet by former Gawker writer/current Vanity Fair writer Richard Lawson brought my attention to this clip of a young Leonardo DiCaprio—circa The Basketball Diaries—being interviewed by Daisy Fuentes on VH1’s Top 20 Video Countdown. I could not be more grateful to revisit this classic material.

Is there anything out there that more quintessentially sums up pop culture in 1995 than Fuentes—so aggressively relaxed in her interview style that she’s sitting criss-cross applesauce on the couch—flirting with DiCaprio over Hootie & the Blowfish for a video countdown show on VH1? My Leomania is reignited all over again.
