From the looks of this season two trailer, the robots of Westworld are about to revolt in their frilly Western costumes and humans, picking up from the season one finale, where we discovered Maeve’s identity as the center of the Maze, which is the key to establishing the humanity of these manmade bots. It’s all a construct! So what does it mean? “Look at this world. This beautiful world,” Evan Rachel Wood’s protagonist Dolores states in a trailer dramatically soundtracked to Kanye West’s “Runaway.” “We’ve lived by your rules long enough. We can save this world. We can burn it to the ground, and from the ashes build a new world.”

Humans think they can handle them. That’s cute. Prepare for a season two where man’s creation becomes murderous towards its creator and everything burns to the ground…or something else entirely different happens. Season two premieres on April 22.
