Forgive me if I’m already deeply suspicious of the Jungle Cruise film, another Disney movie based on a Disney ride that still somehow relies on racist stereotypes (and also a pretty shitty grasp of geography), even though it won’t be out until summer of 2020. But here’s another reason for skepticism: TMZ, citing “sources,” reports that the Jungle Cruise is another Hollywood movie with a wild gender pay gap, with The Rock supposedly taking in $22 million to Emily Blunt’s $9 million, despite the fact that they are costars.

That’s less than half his upfront pay, and even though he is generally a big box office draw, in TMZ parlance she is “Mary freakin’ Poppins.” (It’s unclear how much the two are making from box office revenues or other backend pay.) I love Dwayne Johnson as much as the next guy (maybe not as much as most straight men, though), but if American culture’s most valued women—famous and beautiful white actresses—can’t get equal pay, what hope is there for the rest of us! SECURE THE BAG, BLUNT!

If you would like to know what a $1.3 million holiday party looks like, here’s YouTuber Kerwin Frost’s surreal, kinda weirdly boring look inside the Kardashians’ Christmas Eve celebration, which includes snow, all the Kardashians, Jenners, and Wests, John Legend, Dave Chappelle, Kathy Griffin, Tyler the Creator, Kris wearing that silver Dior turtleneck from a few years back that I would kill for, and Mason Disick doing various YouTube dances, among other things.

There’s also some apparently gross conversation with Kanye about Kim’s “nip-slip,” but I didn’t make it that far.
