If You Don't Watch This Trailer for The Nun to the End, Your Knuckles Will Be Rapped

Entertainment

“MAKE SURE YOU WATCH TO THE END,” reads the title card ahead of this trailer for the upcoming neo-nunsploitation horror flick The Nun. Firstly, trailer for The Nun, how dare you tell me how to run my life. You’re not the nun of me; you’re merely The Nun. Secondly, isn’t that title card implied in every goddamn video on the internet? Everyone wants to be seen and seen fully. Thirdly, and here’s a spoiler: They want you to watch to the end for a rather conventional jump scare. Try not to yawn as you gasp.

This is another Conjuring prequel. Who knew such a generic haunted house could have such an extensive backstory. The Conjuring director James Wan is producing, while The Hallow helmer Corin Hardy directs. Taissa Farmiga and Demian Bichir star. The synopsis is as follows:

When a young nun at a cloistered abbey in Romania takes her own life, a priest with a haunted past and a novitiate on the threshold of her final vows are sent by the Vatican to investigate. Together they uncover the order’s unholy secret. Risking not only their lives but their faith and their very souls, they confront a malevolent force in the form of the same demonic nun that first terrorized audiences in The Conjuring 2, as the abbey becomes a horrific battleground between the living and the damned.

The Nun is out September 12, which means it’s your duty to MAKE SURE YOU LIVE THROUGH SUMMER.
