I Can't Stop Looking at These Gorgeous Paintings of Historical Animals

These are full color illustrations from Christina Hess‘ ebook Animals From History, and they’re freaking gorgeous. My favorites are Bruno the Brave and Cat Queen. I’d like them both blown-up to about 6′ x 4′ and hang them above my bed so that each morning I may awake and receive their permission to conquer the motherfucking day.
