BeautifulPeople.com, the dating site known for axing overweight members, has started a "virtual sperm bank" to solicit genetic material from members. The fertility forum is open to non-members too because, "We can't be selfish with our attractive gene pool." [Newser]
DISCUSSION
Do they weed out people who've had plastic surgery? Who dye their hair? Who use Latisse for fuller eyelashes? Because I seriously doubt that no one who is invested in belonging to a site called "beautifulpeople" has had cosmetic enhancements. And since we can't do plastic surgery on eggs and sperm, the guarantee of "beauty" is lacking.
