For a December 8 marathon, organizers in Keelung, Taiwan hired a “ghost” to scare runners into faster race times. Hello, it me: the Taiwan Marathon Ghost. Here to scare you through your toughest of times.
The Taiwan Marathon Ghost (me) is friendly and just wants you to do your best:
“I didn’t dare frighten people by hiding in the woods,” she said. “I just waited for them to encourage them.”
The ghost waited along the halfway point of the marathon and would appear to chase runners through their mid-race slump.
According to The Daily Mail, some runners were thrilled by her appearance and others ignored her completely, probably because not everyone is emotionally perceptive enough to perceive me, the Taiwan Marathon Ghost.
The Daily Mail also claims that the Taiwan Marathon Ghost is in fact an actress, but they are wrong. The Taiwan Marathon Ghost is me. The Taiwan Marathon Ghost is you. The Taiwan Marathon Ghost is all of us when we help a person in need. Be the Taiwan Marathon Ghost you want to see in the world. Scare someone towards success today.
