What is E! correspondent Giuliana Rancic's damage? She was manic on the red carpet, complimenting nearly every (thin) female celebrity's body, and compulsively asking about diets. Thankfully, Mad Men's Christina Hendricks commented on the "wackiness" of those who don't eat.
"My stomach is TOO flat!" ::::( eyeroll.
Giuliana is sad.

It's unhealthy to see food solely as fuel, no matter what 'The Biggest Loser' says. Food is also about enjoyment and the very communal and spiritual act of breaking bread with family and friends. To reduce food to merely fuel is to invite disordered eating and a disordered way of thinking about eating.
I remember being in the throes of my ED, and thinking I was doing okay as long as I ate enough not to pass out behind the wheel of my car or at work. As long as I ate enough to stay upright, I was adequately fueled, right? And how virtuous of me to be able to function on less than everyone else! I was like a human hybrid car!
This, my friends, is what they call "Stinkin' Thinkin'". Do not try this at home. And Giuliana, please get therapy.
