Girl Kicked Out Of Prom for Wearing Tuxedo to Appear On It's Always Sunny
Latest
Last week Aniya Wolf was forcibly removed from her school’s prom because she was attired in a tuxedo rather than a gown. But while officials at Bishop McDevitt High School congratulate themselves on their crusade for gender conformity, Wolf will be enjoying an appearance on It’s Always Sunny In Philadelphia.
The Harrisburg teen explained to her local ABC 27 News that “I’ve always been like this, ever since I was little.” Identifying as a lesbian cis-woman, Wolf has always considered herself “more masculine. You wouldn’t catch me playing with any Barbie dolls, I’ll tell you that right now.”
Her schoolmates have reportedly been accepting although “school officials make her feel like ‘a mistake.’” The school’s dress code was hastily altered at the last minute, mandating that all girls wear dresses to prom. Wolf attempted to go anyway, but was barred from entry — another potent message that her gender presentation is not welcome at school.
