Gigi Hadid just won Daily Front Row's Model of the Year award, which, considering her visibility this year—campaigns with Guess and Maybelline, spreads in every mag from CR Fashion Book to Sports Illustrated, a Chanel runway show, etc—isn't really a surprising distinction.
Gigi has had a pretty meteoric rise. After catching the eye of industry bigwigs like Carine Roitfeld, she went from being known mainly as one of Real Housewife Yolanda Foster's three absurdly beautiful offspring to hanging out with Rihanna. The Andy Cohen treatment hasn't hurt, though, and neither has her impressive Instagram game:

Now, to be real, I don't really have strong feelings about Gigi. I will admit that I am impressed by her boxing skills, but who brings their boyfriend on a girls' trip to Dubai? Who takes a selfie with Kendall Jenner when the latter is wearing something so brutally embarrassing? I only care about her to the extent that she is a blood relative of Yolanda, who is, and forever will be, my sun and stars.
However, what is this?
WHO EVEN IS CODY SIMPSON? Why is Gigi Hadid, International Supermodel, being primarily identified as someone's girlfriend? I understand that this is Daily Mail Australia, and, in an effort to understand who this blonde guitar-wielding man is, I have learned that Cody Simpson is Australian—but still.
