Giant Panda Gives Birth To Twins at National Zoo

The National Zoo in Washington, DC announced that its giant panda, Mei Xiang, gave birth to twins. “All of us are thrilled that Mei Xiang has given birth,” Dennis Kelly, the zoo’s director said in a statement. “We know Mei is an excellent mother.” The zoo doesn’t know the cubs’ sex yet, but plans to perform an exam soon. In the meantime, here’s one of the cubs in all of its hairless, pink glory.
