FKA twigs Reveals She Recently Underwent Surgery to Have Fibroid Tumors Removed From Her Uterus

On Wednesday morning, FKA twigs posted a heartfelt letter (and accompanying dance choreography) on Instagram, informing her fans she underwent laparoscopic surgery to have six fibroid tumors removed from her uterus in December. She writes, in part:

“I know that a lot of women suffer from fibroid tumors, and I just wanted to say after my experience that you are amazing warriors and that you are not alone. You can get through this. And with this I let go of the pain…love always Twigs.”

Wise words from a typically private star—great to see her healthy again!
